AHW’s Global Health Equity Scholars program develops the next generation of global health equity researchers and practitioners. Since its launch in 2017, we have engaged ten students from across multiple divisions of Johns Hopkins to work closely with Alliance faculty and staff.
They have been busy participating in key events, such as our October 2017 Cocktails & New Perspectives: Connecting Diverse Expertise on Health Equity & Social Justice event, engaging in innovative research with team leads, and contributing to discussions on defining health equity and identifying the many factors that contribute to disparities. Read earlier updates about current scholars.
Applications for the 2018-2019 scholars program will open this summer. Check upcoming Health Equity Connector editions for information about the application process and deadline.
