Open Access Week comes to Johns Hopkins

Open Access Week, which highlights the need to share research without paywalls and other barriers, is happening Oct. 22-28, and the Alliance for a Healthier World is co-sponsoring two events at Johns Hopkins University that highlight this important topic.

Open Access for Health Equity, on Oct. 22, addresses how open access can support health equity, and From Open Access to Open Science, on Oct. 26, looks at how open science can boost innovations that address health equity issues in low- and middle-income countries. The idea of breaking down barriers to accessing research is a major part of the work being done by the Alliance’s Transformative Technologies & Institutions theme, which is led by Dr. Anthony So.
